I note on the thread re momumental inscriptions there is sometimes reference to the need to see the 'lair details from the Council'.
Could someone please explain to me how much lair information the council holds, how one accesses it and how old the data is. If, for example, I wish to find out about burials in the old Berriedale cemetery that have no headstone (which I do), is it possible to get those records by consulting the lair details. Which council would keep these records and would I need to visit in person?
Thanks Christina
