Accused reacted badly to being detained
A WICK man was fined £180 at the sheriff court, today, after he admitted damaging a cell door at the local police station.
It happened when Lee Brogan, 32, was detained by police on August 14. It was stated that he was under the influence of drink and “reacted badly” to being locked up.
Senior fiscal depute, David Barclay, said that the accused began to lash out at the cell door damaging a small window.
An agent for the accused, who lives in Kennedy Terrace, Wick, said that, had he been sober, the incident would never have happened.
