lets hear it for Gilbert and George- those wonderful art installations who have a life all of us would envy.
as living exhibitions, they are inspiration to anyone who can't figure out what to do with one's life

I liked Nikita Khrushchev because he told it how it was. Visiting the USA in 1960 he saw his first ever abstract painting and said 'It looks like it was painted by a donkey with its tail.'

Gilbert and George.

Imho- two posing chancers in suits.

who have been painted by Ian C Scott and appeared at Lyth and at Ackergill Tower- and done their bit for Caithness tourism

Ah well - my wife thinks I'm a Philistine as far as modern art is concerned. I can rouse no more enthusiasm for them than I can for Tracy Emin's bed, the bricks in the Tate modern, Damien Hirst's shark or that cast of a terraced house.

Anyway Ackergill's a tad expensive for me....

Just think- they've got it sussed- all they do is walk about, eat, sleep, drink- and they're world famous- sweet
