Here's a taste of what will be going on in Caithness and all over Scotland about now.
Do tell us what you will be doing for this great night.

In this clip you will hear the true tongue of Caithness and see how they set about celebrating their National Bard.

If you have any other links, please send them, as folk all over the world will be happy
to share.

Happy Burn's Nicht
Trinkie.

We have a big party every year and expect between 50 and 70 people. We have the party at home...it's a bit of a squash lol but it's such fun. This is the fifth year we have done it and it's always eagerly awaited by all our friends. I cook haggis, neeps and tatties for everyone and the guests bring food for the buffet and drink and if they are crashing, something for breakfast.

It's very informal but we do all the speeches and toasts and we sing a lot and laugh a lot. It's on 29th this year and we are so so looking forward to it.
