Hi there,

I wouldn't even bother going to specsavers.

Try www.glassesdirect.co.uk

I've used them now on 3 seperate occassions (one pair for me, one for my wife and one for a friend). On all occassions delivery was less than 5 days from placing the order.

They have even been mentioned on the Trevor Macdonald Tonight show as you will see from their website.

The savings to be had are amazing. I paid £17.50 (£15 for the frames AND lenses and £2.50 for delivery).

I can't recommend them highly enough.

They even have a price comparision page on there website showing you their prices and the prices of specsavers for the same glasses.

It just goes to show you how much you are getting stung by the big named opticians.

I won't go anywhere else now for my glasses.

All you need is your prescription.

Regards

Halkirk1.

Yep, of course you need a prescription, it does help.

You get these free now so even this doesn't cost you.

Where do you get a free prescription?

Optician - if you can 'see' your way there!

The eye examination is free and hence your prescription is free.

Any optician in Scotland.
