Well for a starter traditionally it would be Broth Soup with Oatcakes, & to finish (please don't quote me here) but I'm sure it's a hot mixed berry crumble.

Please tell me that you're joking when you're unsure for a main course, something like, Haggis-Neeps & Tatties spring to mind...

& you can even get a vege haggis too ;)

Trinkie, that is known as the Selkirk Grace, I like your menu, but my prefered desert is Cranachan

Robbie Burns and Scotland!!

I was in a fairly nice local restaurant 2 days ago, and they are having a 'big' Burns Supper as does many people over here and also in the US.
Guess what??

The Map of Scotland did not go North of Inverness. Cut off! This has occurred many times in the past and it is sad to see!

So that's how you keep the incomers out!

Robert Burns' acquaintances held the first Burns' supper on July 21, the anniversary of his death, in Ayrshire, Scotland, in the late 1700s. The date was later changed to January 25

Hi Golach, I like Cranachan too, though it is sometimes served as more of a syllabub which I dont like .
Here is the recipe for Athole Brose http://www.food.com/recipe/athole-brose-327111

By the way Cock a Leekie soup is often served on Burn's Night - delicious.

Enjoy your meal !
