The Org of Caithness, Aug 22, 2006 (Reuters): A clean pair of jugs

Every day at the Org brings new surprises. Today we were shown a new use for an old family favourite. Depleted-uranium campaigner Sarah Jane Hawhaw (aged 21 and a bit) told our Edinburgh correspondent "I just got an old pottery wine jug out of a boot sale and discovered it was quite nasty inside... like somebody was storing oil or something equally nasty in it for a long, long time. I tried boiling water and soap... soda bic but, still pretty icky and has a very narrow neck that's difficult to get into. So I asked the Org for help. Paris Stilton (21 and a bigger bit) told me to soak it overnite filled with Steradent and it came up a treat. It worked so well that I went back to the boot sale and bought another."

Ms Stilton was delighted, "I'd heard it worked for falsies, but I'm astonished how well it did on real jugs."
