I Pod Touch problem

My daughter has locked something on her ipod touch and now she cannot view things horizontally. There is a icon (a padlock with an arrow round it) beside the thing that shows how much battery is left and that was not there before. Anyone got any ideas

Hi yes does it turn horizontally when in Safari viewing webpages?? The iPod only turns the screen in certain apps it would be great if you could post a photo then I can see exactly whats wrong thanks

No it won't turn horizontally when viewing safari but it used to before this padlock thing appeared. I will try and post a picture

Can't post a pic - far to technical for me. There is a padlock with a circle around it with an arrow at the end of the circle beside the thing that shows how much battery is left. It wasn't there before and horizontal viewing was working on safari and when playing solitaire but now horizontal won't work
