Does anyone happen to know if it's possible or how to deactivate the front passenger airbag? It's a 2002 16v model.

Can't find any info online whatsoever. Thanks in advance!

not sure about your particular car, but most of our cars have had a wee switch on the door that you can only get to when the doors open.
hope that helps x

I have a Renault Grand Scenic and you can do this in my car. If you want to double check this out and how to deactivate it then I suggest you ask at the French Car Forum. I am sure someone there will be able to advise you exactly on how to do this. Here is a Link to the French Car Forum :-

Thanks very much for that info, I've managed to get hold of the car's manual but it does not mention the option of switching off the passenger airbag, when baby arrives he will need to travel in the rear.

We used to have 'Y' plate Scenic and you could not switch the airbag off - not sure what year that was - possibly 2001. We now have a Grand Scenic and it can be switched off. Think baby will have to be in the rear!

I used to drive one and I`m pretty sure if you open the front passenger door and look at the end of the dashboard, on the side, you will see the switch. If not look at the same palce on the drivers side. You`ll see by the picture if it`s what you`re looking for. Good luck
