Helen Watson is my link to this family
They married 2 Dec 1881 Wellington St Pulteneytown - she the daughter of John Watson and Ann More.
Helen died 1904 Nicholson St.
William the son of Alexander Sutherland and Janet Hay.

I have researched quite a bit on various Caithness Cormacks (my main line being from Watten 1700s by a Cormack/Sutherland Marriage!)

William Sutherland died 26th August 1900 31 Nicholson St ..
cert says married 1.Janet Cormack and 2. Helen Watson
He was a cooper and informant was John Sutherland son.
Death cert says his father was George Sutherland a cooper and mother just says Sutherland.

This can happen especially if person informing is unsure of data.
Both Marriage certs for William DO show parents as Alex Sutherland and Janet Hay.
