Dogs Hair Loss

I have been feeding my lab with dried food for some time now which is fine but she has been loosing her hair constantly for the last 6 months, she is brushed every day, I am wondering if anyone else has found dried food could be the reason for this, I am going to change her diet to see if that helps.

She could be allergic to an ingredient in the dried food. If you want to stay with dried it's worth trying James Wellbeloved or Burns.

I give Benjy Naturediet which he loves and he is doing really well on it.

Is your dog in good health apart from this? It would be good to give you her a supplement which contains omega oils.

Is she scratching at all or is the hair just thinning?

Usually, with an allergy there would usually be itching along with hair loss.

Our two labs seem to malt at least 8 months of the year, i have tried all sorts of different feed ect,thier coats never look thiner just shed lots of hair.Not great on black clothes lol
I have come to the conclusion its when the house is very warm they shed more, although they are out a lot i think the extra heat put on during the colder months does affect them.
Both are healthy dogs, maybe one is a little over weight tho.
