I had four loman brown hens for two and a half years and they stoped laying in the spring. Three died over the summer (which was upsetting) but Holly has started laying again, 7 eggs in the last 10 days. Is this unusual, to be stopped for so long

I don't know, but my hens do this all the time...unpredictable bunch. If they seem happy and healthy I wouldn't think anything is wrong.
