View Full Version : Windows 7 64 bit says 256 bit
I am ruuning on Windows 7 64 bit, but when i click on the help about Windows Explorer, it says Cipher strength 256 bit.
Why is this?
When i have a 64 bit laptop.
Presumably that's the level of encryption it's using for something called SSL. Check here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transport_Layer_Security) and here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Encryption_Standard)
Which is something entirely different from processor bits.
