I assume that's the address of someone responsible for the hall. Last time I passed the hall itself was down the other end of the village.

Mind you, Watten used to be an example of the old joke:
Tourist: Why is the railway station so far from the village? Wouldn't it be handier if it was nearer?
Local: We thought it would be handier if it was next to the railway line.

The hall is still where you left it. Secretary lives in Bain place. Sadly the trains no longer stop at Watten so nearest is now Georgemas (reckon it was closed in your day here?).

I remember getting off the train at Watten in about 1968. You could ask the guard to ask the driver to stop at any of those old closed stations. In fact we had got on at Kildonan. But other than that it was long closed.
