Help

I wonder if anyone can help me here. I now have a digital camcorder, but prior to that I had an old analog camcorder (Hitachi). The problem I now have is that I have got "master" (not Hi8) tapes from my original camcorder that I can neither view on my new(er) one, and my old camcorder needs repair (if possible).

If anyone has any ideas, I'll be keen to hear them. failing that I would be willing to purchase an older camcorder if anyone has one for sale.
