I'm using ex 9 beta with windows 7 ultimate (64 bit) and it seems to be the best version yet although it took a little while to get used to it your favourites are in a diffrerent place by default but are easy to use once you find out how to acess the tools. it even allows 64bit to be used as default!

Using it as a second browser on windows vista and it's the best version yet. Graphics actually display properly/clear.

Installed it but my favorites toolbar disappeared.

Don't really like the way favorites are displayed, i.e. logo of the website of the favorite link etc.

I think people are impressed because it seems to be a halfway decent browser and when comparing it to previous efforts it seems good. It got caught cheating on a few of those online standards tests these (http://www.acidtests.org/) come to mind right now.

When compared to all browsers though it's still pretty crap. I'd still say Firefox, Chrome, Safari or derivatives are the way to go.
