Roads - Dunbeath - Berridale -Thursday

Roads are clear and traffic is back to usual self.

Strong westerly winds blowing but because a thaw is on, the lying snow is wet and as far as I can see it is not causing any problem.

Paula left for Thurso at 7am and has arrived safely.

Hope that this the last report I do for the winter, but if the weather changes for the worse I will be back.

Thank you so much for these updates, it is reassuring for anyone needing to use the A9 and I also hope you won't need to update us again this winter.

came back from Inverness this afternoon and glad to say the roads are all ok. What a difference since yesterday, bad drifting north of Berriedale and the Causeymire was horrible. Snowploughs and snowblower were doing their very best to keep everything clear.

Please dont say that I was mad going to Inverness, but I had an appointment at Raigmore and really did need to see the consultant
