Hi All,
I have just joined the Caithness.org forum and would like to know how I can attach photographs to a new thread so everyone can view them please.
Thanks,
Mick Barnett.

bare with me, this might take a min or 2 but here goes....

1. save the pic you want to upload onto your PC (kinda obv)
2. you need to upload your pic to somewhere like:
www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com)
http://imageshack.us/
http://www.imagehosting.com/
3. once you have uploaded your pic you will see a screen like this:
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f51/speckyt/hth.jpg
4. copy the link i have highlighted and paste it into your topic as shown
http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f51/speckyt/jujuj.jpg
5. finish your post and hit submit / or preview 1st to make sure all is going to work.

I have used photobucket to upload the pics in this thread.

hope this helps

Slight more detailed STEP BY STEP with better images

i have used www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com) however other sites are available

1. Open up your hosting site, you will prob have to create an account ( www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com) )

http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f51/speckyt/step%20by%20step/step1.jpg

once you log in, you will see a button (as highlighted in red) CLICK IT

2. select where the pics are you want to upload, highlighted box top left, then which folder you want to save them to, highlighted box top right, then click the select button, highlighted box in the centre

http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f51/speckyt/step%20by%20step/step2.jpg

3. Find where on your PC, in which folder, the pics are you want to upload, and if uploading more than 1 pic you can use the option of uploading multiple as highlighted

http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f51/speckyt/step%20by%20step/step3.jpg

4. once the imaged have uploaded you can either go to the folder you have just uploaded them to or upload more pics, again as highlighted

http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f51/speckyt/step%20by%20step/step4.jpg

5. you will now see all the pics you have just uploaded in your folder

http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f51/speckyt/step%20by%20step/step5.jpg

6. hover over the image you want to put online, and a box wil appear underneath it, as shown, you want to copy the link, as shown

[IMG]http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f51/speckyt/step%20by%20step/step6.jpg

Last but not least, paste that IMG link into your post, ensuring that the link starts and ends

If you have Facebook you can link images from there. Right click the image you want and select 'copy image location', paste into here with [img] at the front and at the end. This doesn't share any of your FB info, but it does stop you having to upload your pics twice if you already use facebook :)
