Hi there,

I am relatively new to the area and am the proud owner of a lively springer spaniel! I am thinking of starting up a canine club / dog walking club to try and get local dog owners to mix / socialise a bit more.

If anyone would be interested in joining or helping to set up the club please let me know.

All are welcome - the more the merrier!!

Thurso beach is also a good place to meet dogs and their companions! Since moving to Thurso I have made quite a few friends there although I am more apt to know the dogs names rather than the humans.

Dunnet beach is also good; you could also meet some bigger four legged friends there!

I've haven't been to either place lately for various reasons but hopefully Ben and I will make it back sooner rather than later. Ben is known as the surfing dog but if you meet him, don't throw a ball as he just pinches it and drops it in the sea but won't fetch it back. Luckily some of his other pals are better trained and the ball is usually returned to its owner! :)

Looking forward to getting Jake out for walks/runs along the beaches nearer Christmas once he is fully vaccinated! He's had his first set, and second set is 14th Dec, so hopefully christmas week we can get him out and start training him on the lead! Could be interesting as he hates it at the moment!
