I was really hoping that you would be taking some photos of the snow MPH and you haven't disappointed!:D

I love them all but the last one is just magical!!!! It would make a beautiful Christmas card.

The last one is a 180 second exposure to capture the milkyway, it has a blurry foreground because the shot was taken using a tracking mount that follows the stars so they dont trail but then the foreground trails instead.
I meant to take a 30 second shot with the mount switched of and use it as a foreground
with the 180 second exposure........i forgot....doh.

I'll blame it on the cold,it was taken on Thursday night and according to the thermometer on the tracking mount it was -13C,probably not the best night to wander up to the top of the moors.

The icicles has to be my favourite and an unusual angle on the knarly tree by Thurso Bridge, good set of pictures.

Magnificent shot of the Milky Way MPH. What's the source of the ghostly light at the horizon?

Thursday night was very cold. I can appreciate how it affected the thought processes - I lasted an hour observing before making a retreat to somewhere warmer.

It was -12 in my garden but at the top of the moors there was a light breeze so it felt a lot colder.
The ghostly light was a tiny light from a farm house which i thought wouldnt be much of a problem but with the 3 minute exposure it looks like ET has just landed.

Love the icicles and the graveyard shots, the cold blue effect really sets the Wintery scene.

I do like blue tones in snowy shots,as you say,it does give shots a colder feel.

MPH these are gorgeous and I really want to share some with friends (nothing commercial). Particularly the icicles on the cliffs below victoria walk (I am amazed you got down there without slipping on that ice too!). Is that okay or what credit should I use? Also is it not possible to PM you? It's not an option when you click on your name.

No 4 has to be an all time favoutire for me, however the rest are still wonderful and the skill that must be needed for the milky way. As ever super photos.
