I restarted and went to problems and reports, this is what it said.
Any help greatfully accepted, will this problem start again, i am way out of my depth here. Has anyone an explanation please.

Hi

Can you tell me what you were doing on the laptop when it shut down?

Also the specifications of the laptop, what operating system, and specifically what graphics card does it have?

And is it working OK now?

Cheers

Ian.

Thanks

Have you recently upgraded/updated your graphics driver?

Have you downloaded, or are you running, a screensaver?

Cheers

Ian.

I'm fairly certain that this is related to your graphics driver; it's being given an instruction, or instructions, that it cannot complete, so it's continuously "looping" in an attempt to execute it (them).

Could you disable the screensaver, and see what happens then, please?

Disabled it. Left it 5 mins, and seems OK.
Is all this to do with the problem with the video thing in my first post, which actually explains what the problem is.

Do you know if this is repairable or is my laptop doomed.

Thank you.

it will be related to a recent windows update.

many laptops do not get on with the 'default' windows graphics drivers and windows has again recently updated them.

you have the info in those screen shots you have

got the graphics cards manu website and download the lastest drivers for you card and version of windows you have.

then run that update.

its a good idea to not install any optional windows updates esp where is says graphic card/graphic driver update

Thank you to you both. I have been to Fujitsu Siemens www. I have downloaded the ATI Radeon Graphics from there. Have also saved the down loads page as a favourite. Lets hope this solves it.

Again, thank you both for your time.:)
