Saw the parade down Princes street at lunch time, looked very impressive, lots of Vikings and the galley ready to be burned. Should be a spectacular sight. We will not manage back in to Thurso to see it a sit is abit far.

Hope you managed to make it - was very good indeed. Well done to all the organisers, from even thinking about running the event, right through to tonight and probably into tomorrow!!

Great!

Missed it entirely!!! Came in from the Tesco side of town, due to the diverts there was only one way to go - up Janet St. No parking spaces and traffic moving slowly in both directions. when we finally got parked and walked down it was done and over with - one Very Unhappy child!!!

we enjoyed it - but couldnt see much because of the sheer volume of people!!! Luckily the girls had seen the vikings at school today (eldest was even on STV news tonight!) so they werent too disappointed. It was nice to get out for a wee walk!

Glad there was a good turnout!
We gave it a miss as it is so cold...didnt fancy driving home if there is ice.
And was too lazy to de-ice the car and pump up the flat wheel on the buggy!

It was the first time I had used the pushchair in this weather...... and wont be doing it again!!! He can walk next time we go out!

Huge turn out so fingers crossed the collectors managed to make a good bit of money.

It was cold though..... wee ones were pleased with the hot choc and marshmallows when we got in!

Really good turn out, impressive display but absolutely cringed when all the Vikings with big flame torches walked passed the petrol station. Unnecessary risk taken there, somebody in the planning dept needs a common sense course.

It was really good, so many people there, and the burning boat was excellent.
