There is a croft that sits in a field behind my house, I have such a fascination with it - know a bit of its history. Anyway i am obsessed with taking photos of it, it is nothing much up close but anyway here is a selection and any critique good, bad or indifferent is welcome. I have a nice camera but only used it on auto at the moment till I read up on things

I too have a fascination with the ruins on and near our croft and like you, I have taken photos from every conceivable angle,
It's not just the history of the places, but the general ambience surrounding these buildings,
I feel (whether imaginery or not) drawn to them, a kind of warmth exudes them,
a feeling of de ja vu, as though " I am returning" after a long time away,
in saying that, I am not a highlander by birth.
Strange isn't it?

Your "Croft" is quite lovely, if somewhat forlorn.

Thanks commore, we obviously have similar ideas as I have taken photos from every angle of the croft and once I get the perfect one it will be printed and framed and on my wall.

It has family ties to us, by marriage, which I found out by chance :)

Like the second one with the big menacing cloud rolling in.
