One word! Not enough for me.

Sense of belonging...

Feeling of continuum....

Caithness to me means:

Beautiful wild countryside, warm sunny days (honest!), wildlife, the sea, wild weather in winter, peace, growing up with friends, happiness.

I was uprooted from my home in Canada - Caithness gave me a new home.

Where ever I seem to go! :(

Got bitten tonight.

but thats all part of living where we do ie kid are free to go and see friends without any , major, worries all together a laid back approach to life. where everyone knows everything about you. Which can be a good thing

kindhearted, honest, willing to help people. Travel anywhere in the world and it will make you appreciate what you've left behind.
(not seen so much in large cites where everyone keeps to themselves.)
Most of all "land of my birth" AHHH!!! WICK....

Well we dont rate highly as a place to live in the UK aparently Shetland is the highest ranking Scottish area. See the link below. It does however apear to be to do with house prices and earnings rather than quality of life.

Caithness to me is a place to visit and see old friends and new,to relive old memories that have been buried for so long to see places you grew up and how they change I can always look forward to another visit,I think that is the only thing that keeps me going http://forum.caithness.org/images/icons/icon6.gif

ADVENTURE......
....is what Caithness means to us. Me and my future wife Laura are moving up to the most beautiful part of the country. Peace, quiet and open spaces. We hope to raise a family in Milton and live happily ever after. A special dream we pray to come true.

oh waw - you've all made me go all fuzzy! When i was young it meant rain, bleak winters, no night life, bo-ring.
Now - beautiful green countyside, dramatic skies, kind people, in a word - HOME.
