Hi everyone just quick intro ,been following this site for ages.I orignally come from Bathgate but now live in Armadale and always long to come what i call home (Thurso) but work and family come first. I have strong family connections with Thurso and many happy holidays in the area. The photography section is great, and some of them keep me up to date with the changes in the county and towns thanks to all the people involved. Grant P.

Tarbrax, also known as the Village of the Damned, is located 16 miles from Livingston and about 4 miles from the depths of Hell (http://forum.caithness.org/wiki/Hell). It has a population of ten sheep, three ducks, a cow named Moira and seventy-nine people (http://forum.caithness.org/wiki/People).
The entire human population has either one of twoo surnames, Johnson and Johnstone, and everyone is happy and loving towards each other and their animals. Until recently the UK (http://forum.caithness.org/wiki/UK) Gov't (http://forum.caithness.org/wiki/Government) decided to lift the passport ban allowing people to move freely from Tarbrax to the outside world, although quite why people would want to remains a mystery (http://forum.caithness.org/wiki/Mystery). Many a brave soul has journeyed (http://forum.caithness.org/wiki/Trip) to Tarbrax and not ben discovered again until they appear on the menu (http://forum.caithness.org/index.php?title=Menu&action=edit&redlink=1) at the nearest chip (http://forum.caithness.org/wiki/Fish_and_chips) shop.
The only source of entertainment (http://forum.caithness.org/wiki/Entertainment) in Tarbrax is the local talent show at which all the villagers gather together to show off their livestock and other halfs (usually the same thing). The last time the talent show happened, an awesome new band called Japan (http://forum.caithness.org/wiki/Japan) Four (http://forum.caithness.org/wiki/Four) rocked afterwards. This didn't go down well with the audience of 10, as they weren't used to such an awesome band playing such a crap (http://forum.caithness.org/wiki/Crap) place. Many music (http://forum.caithness.org/wiki/Music) gurus condemed the band by saying things such as "it's such a waste, they'll never get out alive."
It is rumoured that the fictional village of Royston Vasey (from the TV (http://forum.caithness.org/wiki/TV) show League of Gentleman) is based loosely and very mildly on what happens in Tarbrax.

Portgower has nothing on this place Ducati. I bet you're glad that you managed to escape[lol]

Hi Grant

Welcome to the org indeed. Your thread has made me question if there's a new "West Lothian question" - how many of the orgers have connections there?

I spent the majority of my childhood in Broxburn and Bathgate.

No wonder you need a Ducati, Ducati - your chips would be cold otherwise!!

Forgot to say, 'Welcome to you Grant and hope you're a bit more sane than the rest of this lot from your neck of the woods'!
