A big, big thumbs up for O2's customer service team today. OH's elderly mum is in hospital and had run out of credit on her phone. She let us know (and many, many thanks also to the nurse who lent her own mobile phone to her to make the call) so we could top it up for her, but O2's system wouldn't accept either of my cards - their fraud system had noticed an increased usage on the phone, plus OH had used two different cards to top it up for her already.

Customer services not only put 100 free minutes on it when they couldn't get past the system block, but also suggested we register it for Favourite Place using the hospital postcode so that when it's next topped up she'll get another 500 free minutes (which we will do once we know whether she's staying here or going to Raigmore). They couldn't have been more helpful.
