Villa in Malta?

Friends are looking to rent a villa in Malta or Gozo next summer for 11/12 people including some children.
I just wondered if anyone had been and had recommendations for a property (with a pool) and places to visit or eat etc. Also advice on travel.

Both have good search filters i.e. specific locations, size, pools, etc and holiday rentals have independant reviews from previous guests.

Holiday lettings are now linked with Trip Advisor.

Been to Gozo a number of times. fabulous place. we prefer the quiet of Xlendi Bay. Beautiful bay, lovely places to eat. Don't tell anyone else as I want to remain unspoilt and quiet
