Just came across this on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQFwxw57NBI&feature=player_embedded).

I wonder if the public will get behind this one, like they did last year?

I have a feeling many will.:D

no matter what happens, Simon Cowell will not be having a number 1 xmas

(personally, i'd like to see Wagbo take number one)

late entry !!

just read that it'll be 10 years since the death of Kirsty MacColl :(

in memory of Kirsty, i'd like to see Fairytale of New York at number one and Wagbo in the number 2 slot ...

All us Orgers should get together and make a Christmas song. I am sure there is someone out there able to write a suitable verse or two!

Read something yesterday about Matt Cardle being another sham. He apparently was educated at a £15,000 a year school and that he had already released an album just prior to the X Factor. This poor 'painter/decorator' trying to make good story is just a load of codswallop and he's acting it.
Don't get me wrong, I think the guy's a cracking singer but he's not what he's been made out to be :confused

I'm sure Tubthumper could knock up a few seasonal verses, though don't ask me to join the group...I've a good baritone voice, shame I can't carry a tune. :)

Regardless people need to get behind one song if they want the X-Factor to lose, otherwise we end up with duplicated effort and The X-Factor wins while peoples attention is divided between a few songs.

The idea was floated that people vote for the worst X-Factor contestant, I mean you would be giving money to them but it would have a subversive affect on people who take the show seriously.

They could perhaps brush off another artist winning but maybe not another contestant.

On a side note I sometimes wonder if having a sob/hard luck story is a prerequisite for being on the show.

EDIT: Though I'm quite happy to buy songs from multiple hopefuls. I bought the Rage Against The Machine song several times last year from different vendors. It was only 20-40p for the track.

I cant remember what the name of the song is, but Annie Lennox sung a beautiful Christmas song on the Graham Norton show this morning, (radio two).

I would buy it and it had a relevance to Christmas.:Razz

Kevin, according to this link, http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00vs4kn, it was "In the Bleak Midwinter".
There are music clips on Annie Lennox's official website too. :)

I watched him again tonight and had a touch of deja vu, that's twice in eight days that I have felt as if I wanted to slash my wrists.

No billmoseley, it was "In The Bleak Midwinter", but you have to pay for the download. You can listen to a sample of it here though.
