Taxi service in Halkirk

I have a friend in the Halkirk area who is considering running a new taxi service in the area as there doesnt seem to be one there.
Do any Halkirk people think this would be a good idea, is there a need for this service in Halkirk as there is a good bus service? would it be useful for having taxis to the train, airport, hospital etc??

i think this would be a great idea,i live in westerdale catch the bus home and have to walk from halkirk.

I would have thought a taxi service for Halkirk alone was a bit specialist.

I'm sure the north west of Caithness could manage another taxi though.

Does Violets taxis still operate from Castletown? They seemed successful enough but did most of their street pick-ups in Thurso I think.

It could also cover the surrounding areas of scotscalder, spittal, mybster, westerdale to name a few as the only way to most of these is car or school bus.

I for one even thou i drive would use a taxi service from halkirk rather than getting a town one to come out to spittal
