They are absolutely brilliant!

Like colingel we've had one for years and it's used daily. Saves a lot of electricity and doesn't take up much room.

I would highly recommend you get one.:D

I have not used my big oven since I got one nearly two years ago. I even cooked the Christmas turkey in it last year. Saves loads of electricity. The ones in the Factory Shop have accessories included. You have to buy these seperately if you get your oven from JML so it is a good buy.

I have been using a halogen oven for years and it really saves on electricity. I recently had to replace my old one, and opted for this one from Wolf (http://www.ukhs.tv/Homeware/Wolf-1300W-Halogen-Oven-Accessories). Don't just opt for the first one you see as they vary in size and come with various accessories. The Wolf one comes with loads of extras that many others sell seperately, and you can also buy a spare heating tube from them, which is great, and saves having to replace the whole thing, if the ring fails.

The extension ring is a must, and if you use one of these (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Chicken-Turkey-roaster-Guaranteed-quality/dp/B003U7WAHQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1289482510&sr=1-1) style roasters, you will even be able to fit a turkey in the machine. This is a great way to cook poultry, I have the Spanek Vertical Roaster (http://spanek.com/roaster/roasters.php) set, but don't know where to get them in the UK. :)

Can you do things like sausages in them, I use the grill and the fat often catches fire and sets the smoke alarms off.

Tesco in Wick don't have any and when I asked today, was told they have no plans to get them in any time in the near future, was hoping to use the doubled up vouchers but no luck:~(

I received a leaflet for The Original Factory Shop, which is due open in Wick later this month. The leaflet contained an advert for an Intrachef 12 litre halogen oven which came with extra accessories. The price was advertised as £49.99 but I noticed that they are selling them for £40 on their online shop:-

http://www.tofsonline.co.uk/Shop/Electrical/Kitchen-Appliances/1466-Infrachef-12-Litre-Halogen-Oven.html

Postage to the Highlands is listed as £12 though.

I would probably wait and see if they are available in the store and I think I read that you can get a £5 voucher for later use when you spend a certain amount.

This appears to be the same/very similar model on Amazon at £63.11 (correct at posting):-

I might buy one myself, not much to lose at the price!!

bought one on last trip over to Caithness - from the factory shop in Thurso.
Find it excellent so far but still getting used to trying to cook with it, have not had oven or grill on since I came back last week.
hve not tried baking in it yet - one day when I have some time, that elusive thing called time.
