I use Gnucash (http://www.gnucash.org/) for home accounting, but it's aimed at small businesses as well so it might suit your needs. It has a lot of features, especially considering the price! ;)

Sage is excellent and easy to use. I have also tried QuickBooks which was even easier to use but wasn't as easy to transfer to the accountant for queries and at the end of year.
