The Rockwater Shield last 16 1st legs took place on monday night, with defending champions Camps2 losing out 6-4 to Blackstairs1.
Tam Sutherland got the Blackstairs off to a flyer and quickly raced into a 4-1 lead, but the Camps came back at them and leveled it at 4-4. In the next 2 frames the camps team played terribly which resulted in the Blackstairs taking advantage of that and winning the match 6-4.
The Mountain Dew derby was another closely fought match in which the first team won 6-4, but its still all to play for in the 2nd leg.
Camps1 Captain Liam Ewart be will looking to lead his team to the final for a second year in a row, and have started their cup run well with a 6-3 win over Seaforth Club.
In the other matches Blackstairs2 defeated Crown2 6-0, Commercial beat Bayview2 6-1, Francis Street Club won 6-4 against Sinclair bay and Queens2 lost 6-3 out in Lybster against Bayview1.
The 2nd Leg matches will take place on the 15th of November, and all teams are reminded to play out their matches until a team reaches 6.
