Got a very nice e-mail from a friend about the planet Mars will be very close to earth in the month of August, on the 27th it is suposed to be as big as a full moon then.Has anyone heard about this? http://forum.caithness.org/images/icons/icon6.gif

The Mars story is obviously a fabrication, but the hoax probably grew out of the event DW linked to. Look here (http://www.universetoday.com/am/publish/beware_mars_haox.html) for last year's version.

Sorry to be the destroyer of a nice myth. :(
