So many people say you can't have hounds and cats

What lovely dogs you have and my the kittens have grown!
I think hounds and cats who live together develop a special bond, Harry my lurcher who had to be pts was really close to our ginger cat and they often snuggled up together in front of the log burner at nights. Harry was very protective over the cat if there was ever a strange dog home for B & B he would get out of his bed and warn them off if they got too boisterous near his cat. The cat always checked in with Harry when he came in and they seemed to have a special language, the cat was upset for weeks after Harry's death and only now has started to get over it.
This little lady still has a bit of learning with the cats, it was Simbas fault as when she first arrived he ran up and smacked her on the nose and she promptly chased him....
That said she loves the cat flap she lets herself out for the bathroom.
As you see though the cat is relaxed around her and not overly concerned.
The cats are the same here as soon as they come in they wrap round the dogs legs and say hi.

Thanks Liz, she really does have a gorgeous face, I love your picture Sarah, I had a cat a bit like yours on the ears, but mine had a lot less.
This was actually smudge the day she went to the rainbow bridge.
She looked not too bad but she had a brain tumour :~(

She went to Rainbow Bridge minus her ears like my darling cat Baba but how lovely to know they will have them back now!:D
Unicorn, I want you whippets they are adorable, they are my favourite breed of dog. Your lucky to have 3 such crackers.
Oh Newpark, I am sorry but I am most definately keeping them [lol] although Chase has decided that 6 is getting up time and doesn't get the concept of weekends.......but otherwise they are perfect doggies.
Cats can be very helpful too ;)

I miss my dog flap :( But then I don't miss the mess - they used to come in covered in mud!
I think I may be missing my cat flap soon, I have visions of her getting too big and getting stuck and losing door and flap [lol]
