Alongside rising fuel costs we're faced with two major world-wide problems. A properly insulated home will use much less energy than an uninsulated one. According to The Energy Saving Trust, insulating the wall cavities in your home can save around £160 per year. Again according to EST, insulating an uninsulated loft can save around £205 per year and around 1 tonne of CO2. That's every year - so if you spend £200 on loft insulation in a typical uninsulated loft, it will have paid for itself after the first year and will save you around £205 every year from then on and even more as fuel prices rise. That's got to make sense.
