yeah, i saw the sheet as well but thought it a bit dear!
£6 half a day £12 full day but they dont serve lunch and
the majority of things you can do at home and for free with
your kids.
sorry but with the two boys that would be working out at 12 or 24 pounds a day.
given if you just want child minding services for the hols that is 9 hrs for 12 pounds per child.
My boys wont be going, but im at home and will be doing pretty much everything on the list with them!
but thats just me being a miser!
saying that there is free swimming on 13th at 1-2
20th 1-2
come and play 4v4 football for p2,3 and 4s on
19th and 21st at 2-3 at p'town acadamy-gym
price .50p
and
Come and play touch rugby p4-7
on 19th and 21st
12-1pm at north school -Gym
again .50p per session

Yeah, it is one of the more expensive holiday clubs, and you have to pay extra for the trips, which is a bit annoying.
My son doesn't cope well with school holidays - he needs routine and structure, and with a toddler running about the place, it's not always easy to do. So he goes to the Clubs as he gets to socialise with the other kids, and has plenty activities to keep him busy!

i dont think its like a holiday club as in the church run ones. its their jobs! like a childminder, only its hard to get one of them during the hols.

Just had to say something in defence of the family centre holiday club. I have worked with these girls and know how much time and effort they put into thier work and more so when funding is so hard to sorce. It is a good job for many parents that there are such facilities in the holidays and the price is what they are told by funders to charge. So go on give them a try.

just to clarify, im not dissing the holiday program.
just that i thought it was dear for basically what i personally will be doing most
of with my kids myself.
no where have i said anything about the staff running it, or in anyway belittled it.
just that its not for me, and would rather spend the money elsewhere.
if other parents have the money for it and their kids want to go, then more power to them.
as it is.. sam has something on normally 6 out of 7 days.. and im for one actually enjoying having him home with me for once!
already,
yesterday we had a baking day and made choc. chip cookies and family movie night
and today .. belive it or not ben and sam had a blast helping me with laundry!
how often do you get boys arguing over who is getting to sort socks and pants!

Oh brandy send the boys over to deal with my sock pile...and the odd sock pile...both have been jumbled up together again!...
We have been face painting and painting boxes to make into cars today, yesterday went to the market square to watch a bit of the start to the mod.
Dont know whats instore for tommorrow yet...cant go anywhere as the carseat covers are being washed!
Maybe cakes....or is it too early to decorate the porch for halloween...have to dust off horace (my big spooky spider) remove the real cobwebs before putting the fake ones up:lol:
