I see street lights have been out in Reay for over a week perhaps a fortnight between the church and the crescent.

Does anyone know the reason?

I heard the west end of the village had n't paid their electrickery bill!

On a more serious note, are n't they in the process of replacing the lights from the kirk west? Or maybe the light sensors have got fed up with the continual rain and given up the ghost.

Seems the wind was not blowing during the dark, so the turbines at Forss - which supply the power - were unable to operate

I had thought they wisely turned them off as very few houses are along that stretch and would save the council money and save carbon emissions.

Thinking is dangerous..it could lead to the resolution of problems!
Well for the moment we are in the dark ....or at least that stretch will be.
