What is going on at Achairn wind farm? It was certainly out of commission last week - is it still? I heard it was giving a lot of problems to local Wick supplies through its regulator malfunctioning.

They are still not turning, must be about 2 weeks now

I heard about this as well - but didn't really understand the explanation I was given. Something about power outages and having to shut down the windfarm.

Been wondering that myself - noticed every time driving to Wick lately. Somebody is losing money .

For anyone not profiting from it who is inconvenienced or losing money (Wick businesses?) then, yes.

For the developer, landowner and anyone else profiting from it at our expense, sorry - no.

These particular turbines do seem to have a problem, frequently one or other not turning and lately all. Bilbster seem more reliable. Wonder why.
