In their BAE Systems Hawk aircraft the Red Arrows pilots would cover the distance in a little over an hour but the riders will travel on Vespa 125S scooters, taking 4 days to complete the 1000 mile journey at the end of the 2010 Display Season

We were the only ones waiting at the Retail Park in Wick to watch the "drive past" by the Red Arrows.

They are down at the river side car park Wick at the moment, I think they are staying at the Norseman tonight.

Was up at Groats waiting for them to arrive, quite a lot of folk there.

Great when they circled the roundabout with the smoke flares going <cough, cough>!

Would put a picture on but having trouble with image shack at the moment.

I was waiting at the lights by Dunnets garage for about half an hour (thinking that would be a good place to get some shots if the lights were red), and lost patience by 4-30, then a friend phoned and told me they were due in Groat at 3-00.:confused

It was a lovely evening so I thought I would have a trundle up to groat, and I arrived just as they were leaving.:lol:

There support vehicles made one or two interesting manoeuvres when they past me on the way back to Wick.:eek:

I think that Polis man was part of it, he is often on TV in "Motorway Cops" situated in the Birminghan area and he has a twin brother also in the force...They are both Scots but which from area I dont know!!!
