problems with pc

Our pc is running slow and pop-ups for spyware and other similar virus stuff keep popping up does anyone know how to get rid of it and check for virus's we have avg virus checker is there any other free ones out their to try to see if we can get rid of all the pop-ups.Any advice would be great.Thanks

I agree with those two - it's a good idea to have several anti-spyware programe on your machine as different programs pick up different problems. The Microsoft one is also good, try;
