I now have a reputation beyond repute
I am a jolly nice chap to boot
What the hell does all this mean?
Have I been, a veritable, posting machine?

I remember well, and try to spell (check) every line
I study history n art n war n stuff
I know and tell when you talk guff
But I’m poor at gauging, I’ve said enough

So what about the green box thingies?
Do they reflect your actual (insert word that rhymes and describes gravitas)
Or are they just a measure of statistics?
Lets face it most of us are just (really bad at finding words to rhyme that mean amateurish)

In braw Caithness a pair of Fernies
One day took up their swords and Birnies
They took a net and an old hound dawg
And set up a fellowship called ‘The Org’

Fae Wick and Thurso came a throng
O’ weirdos wanting to belong
Each one of them had their hobby horses
Fads, crazes and far out causes

None wanted to reveal their name
For they wanted not to gain undue fame
By posting verse, rants and platitudes
But to hide from the neighbours their attitudes.

One chap by day drove a dumper
He appeared on the org as Tubthumper
Of rogues and villains he was a scourge
His poems were like a US army surge.

Like Superman or a hero of old
He scorned the devil and shamed the bold
Fighting a lone and valiant crusade
Til’ lovely Wick’s Academy was made

Others had answers down so pat
They went to bed in a tinfoil hat
While some thrived on conspiracy theory
And claimed to be the Illuminati.

Some are bikers so very hairy-
Blithe of spirit and very merry
Especially wi a wee dram in their cups
They dinnae care what liquor they sups….

Aye- there’s many a chiel upon this site
Left wing, right wing, who have a bite
Straight and forthright in opinion,
Who want their view to have dominion

Ye’ll find there’s many brave arguments here
On topics and issues held so dear
The verbal merry-go-round swirls round
It spirals for ever – I’ll be bound.

You can buy owt on the Org
From an ocean liner to 6 of the Borg
Far and away your sentiments roam
Through independence to the Dounreay dome

All life is here in virtual space
As observed I speir, from a special place
A county I observe that is unique
Of moor and hill and often bleak.

Long live the Org – and long may it rumble
To spout, to rage and oft to tumble

I've wandered o'er the internet for years
And this is forum made of written gold
