Purchase a "video grabber" (for putting VHS etc on to disc) from Lidl recently?

If so, have you had any problems with it? I am looking for a wee bit of guidance as I'm of a "certain age" and as such "USELESS" on a pc.

Please help if you are able.

I haven't bought one from Lidl, but I have used similar gadgets in the past.

Yes I bought one.

I had a problem with the PC recognising the device. Installing the driver from the CD didn't work so had to trawl the internet to find driver. Device is now recognised.

But I'm left with another problem. I connected up wires / camcorder as guided in the manual but can't get the video to display in the software.

Can anyone help with this?

I've not bought one so I am clueless as well but if you are trying to copy purchased VHS films and putting them on to DVD, could any copyright thing be preventing the process? :confused
