Hi,

does anyone use Freeview HD in the Caithness area ?

and if so what's it like?

and I'm not refering to Freesat,

Freeview HD is available from the Rumster Forest Transmitter however you need to have a freeview HD box or TV. Even if your TV is HD ready... It doesnt mean it can receive HD signals.

Make Sure you get a TV which says Freeview HD and not (Freeview and HD Ready).

I dont usually watch freeview as ive got Sky so i cant comment on the picture quality..

I've got a freeview HD box but only BBC1, STV and Channel 4 have Freeview HD channels. Most of the time just showing the same programmes as the normal channels :~(. However, sometimes they show sports events, tennis, athletics or football in HD. I've found sports benefits most from HD - much better picture.:D
