The over 55 offer is on again. Travel a nywhere in Scotland return if you are 55 or over for £18

How do you access these fares? Do you need vouchers or anything like that?

Also you get trains from here to inverness ect for half price if you buy a highland rail card.
They are £7.50 & can be purchased in train station, they last 1 year & you get 1 adult & 2 kids on 1 railcard,
i pay £10.50 return from wick to inverness & its only £2 return for the kids.:)

To get these fares, you just turn up with proof of your age,(over 55) and you pay £18 return to anywhere in Scotland. If no-one is manning the ticket office, you can still get your ticket on the train no problem. There is more about it here (http://www.scotrail.co.uk/content/club-55-terms-and-conditions.html). :)

I have never known anyone being asked for proof of age. If you have a disabled rail card you get further £2 off and you can trVEL FIRST CLASS for an extra £2
