i thot i wid share 'iss (no so little) tale wi' ye's, til brighten up a dull sunday.....
so i wis oot last friday nite, wearin ma most prized possession, it's a chain that hed a pentagram on'ed, an' a magic eye thing that i got fie ma dad fie 'e Caribbean.
'e pentagram is really special til me, i got it fie ma dad also, iv hed'ed for years, its made o' rose gold an' is over a hun'er years auld!!!
i happen'd til leave ma keys in ma mithers hoose so wis locked oot ma own hoose. rether than wake them up in 'e early oers, i asked a guid friend if i chould share his beid ;)
when i woke in 'e mornin me chain wis beneath me, in bits an ma pentagram wis nowhere til be found. i searched ivrywhere, crawled under his beid in ma pants lookin, but no results :(
not til say, i wis gutted. i asked ma pal til search again an check ivrywhere, even in 'e washin machine - ah assumed that he wid o' washed his sheets (blush)
anyway, it wisna til be found, i didna ken far til start lookin. i hed bin all oer 'e toon on friday, in all 'e pubs, hooses on both sides o' 'e toon, all o' which i hed walked (mindin what route i took wis a problem)....i wis even in 'e police station 'at nite but that is a different story (an' i wisna in any trouble).
so on wednesday it wis a new moon, a perfect time til do a wee spell for findin lost property. i did ma thing, i even put in a little mention for ma magic eye, but in all honesty, all ma attention wis on ma pentagram.
i put it oot ma mind for 'e time bein. i niver even telt ma dad i hed lost'ed.
on thursday nite i left ma hoose, by foot. went til ma pals for ma tea, hed a few glesses o' 'e vino, went on til anither pals hoose....more wine.
i wis comin home aboot half 12 (a wee stagger on me) an i started thinkin aboot ma pentagram. ma eyes were glued til 'e groond an i wis distracted by bits o' chewing gum, similiar in size til ma lost locket.
then 'e tears came as i came til terms that i wis niver goin til find'ed.
"how ma goin til tell ma dad i lost'ed, how ma goin til ma life withoot ma locket?" i peep't, "oh, if only i could find'ed, oh, if only it wis lyin on 'e groond, rite in front o' me...an i wid see'ed glistenin in 'e lamp light" - more tears.....
when...lo an behold, whats 'at?? it cana be!!! :eek: somethin glistenin in 'e lamplight...lyin on 'e groond, rite in front o' me!!! i knelt doon an thro ma tears i saw...ma pentagram!!! an aboot 3 inches awie...ma magic eye!!!!! no even 30 steps fie ma front door!!!!!
i wis niver so relieved in ma life, i choost stood in 'e middle o' 'e rod for ages, had'in them in 'e palm o' ma han'.
that ma friends, was a magickal moment for me....(smiles)
