lets take a moment to remember those lost during the 9-11 attacks.
9 years ago today, a horrific attack, devestated the lives of millions.
something that has left its mark on my heart and will certainly never be forgotten

i've sat with my lad and watched a few documentaries on sky leading up to the anniversary over the last few nights.

this was the first time we've watched the complete thing together; planes, bodies falling and buildings collapsing.

i was trying to explain the event in terms that he'd understand, but it all still seems unreal.

very surreal event, we don't usually get to watch tragedies like this happen, but despite the human cost, i'm drawn to watching it again and again (especially when the 2nd plane struck).

i think the reaction from the new yorkers who filmed and witnessed it mirrors my own, an emotional mixture of shock, awe, then grief.
