I have just ordered from Wilkinsons http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/ and phoned to check delivery charge as they state the usual extra for Highlands but was told they no longer charge extra :) . Worth knowing for that at least (I know nothing else about them but look good).

One rip off place for delivery is www.ebuyer.com. Before buying I always check their ebay shop to see if they have the item in stock. The link is http://shop.ebay.co.uk/ebuyerexpress/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p4340.

There are quite a few compaines that have ebay shops like Buy.com, Argos etc. They have to set their postage to a certain price. So if you buy through ebay they cant rip you off for living in the highlands.

Example: I bought this from ebuyer ebay shop and got FREE shipping

Ebuyer online shop is £10 dearer AND charges me with £10.58 postage

So before buying anything always check to see if the company has an ebay shop.

I like Wilkinsons, a great shop with excellent prices. Definate thumbs up from me.

These companies are out there it just means a lot of small print reading. I could see the point if we were on one of the islands but getting someone to realise we are on the mainland is like hitting your head against a brick wall!

I spent ages trying to find packaging i liked, spent hours trawling the internet until i finally found some i was happy with. For some reason in a little paragraph at the bottom of the page it stated they didn't deliver to the highlands. Asked them why, still waiting on a reply!

What makes me MAD is when the advert states " Free delivery to UK mainland" and then goes on to say that delivery to highlands of Scotland are extra...HELLO...there isn't a moat just above Perth
