When you get your heating oil tank filled does it have to be filled right to the top or can you put a certain amount in ....not something we have had to do yet.Just wondering also i think our landlady used Simpsons, are there a number of various companies about and how do they compare price wise ?

you dont have to fill it but there is a minimum amount you can order to justify the lorry coming out.

I've always found Simpson's great, helpful on the phone, quick delivery and cheapest locally. You can get prices from the companies before you order but that normally charge extra per litre if you are taking less than 1000 litres. I normally just give Simpsons and Scottish Fuels a phone and ask them for their prices. I think there is another company down the road that delivers to Caithness but I've never used them x

Simpsons allow you to set up a direct debit so you pay each month instead of getting a bill. Its quite handy as it can be expensive to fill.
