A group of us from work are thinking of trying this as an outing. Has anyone given it a go? Can you have fun with only 100 pellets or do you have to keep stocking up?

I went on the very first day, it was fantastic and I was buzzing afterwards.
I ended up using 700 paintballs but I mainly shot trees. Definately give it go, but make sure you wear thick clothing as it is pretty painful.

Paintball is great fun (except if you get hit at close range). Best clothing is a pair of baggy overalls, plus of course the appropriate mask and such to protect eyes and ears. Tight clothing lets the impact get straight to the skin - take care not to get hit from the rear while bending over!

Have to agree with George, it's great fun, better if there is about 20 of you, you can make up two teams. I learned the hard way that loose clothing is better, I was covered in bruises after my first outing.

100 shots will go fairly quickly, and buying the refills can be expensive, but it can be a really good day out.

Enjoy it.

The refils are pretty cheap on Ebay. Don't know if you're allowed to bring your own though..:confused

Can't really see that being a problem. But then it 's just the same if you go to a cafe, you can't take your own food in to eat.

Lot of sites won't allow you to bring your own 'ammo' - H&S issues I believe.

100 will last you about five minutes - so prepare to get splatted!!!

Clothing - as mentioned loose fitting to absorb some of the impact - those soft paint filled pellets sting like hell!!!

There is discussion on paintballing here (http://forum.caithness.org/showthread.php?t=8047) and here (http://forum.caithness.org/showthread.php?t=1598) and here (http://forum.caithness.org/showthread.php?t=2180)

Brilliant fun.But wear a thick jumper as yer camoflage boiler suit isnae exactly good protection for the "closer" shots. We were on for about 3 hours and on how gun-ho ye were, determined how many paint balls ye went through.

Yer first 100 paintballs are included in the price, but each 100 after that was £6.Really good day out and the safety from the organisers is brilliant.Give it a go...ye'll no regret it!!:D
