We, all five of us, went down to Fort George. I was a fantastic day weatherwise and the exhititions were even better.

It was well worth the money and we all had a lot of fun. Since I am disabled it was pointed out that you could get a Motability Scooter to ride on as Fort George is so big.

When buying the tickets I asked about the Mobility Scooter and the staff were delighted to help. So I receibed an electric Scooter for my own use for as long I was at Fort George and as a very nice surprise there was no charge for the use of the scooter.

Here are a few pics I will post some more tomorrow as I am very Tired and will be off to bed VERY Soon.

We too went down and the most brilliant day, so much to see, educational and fun for all ages and everyone was so nice! It was fantastic to meet Squidge and the medieval group and it looks like we will be joining them frequently! A great big well done to all the artistes there and the organisers! Oh and the merangues and ice cream were out of this world too!lol
and almost forgot to add the Spitfire was amazing! I could have stood and watched the display all day on its own!

It was a fantastic weekend - The weather was great and Historic Scotland beat all records for a weekend at Fort George I beleive - by a MILE. I am sunburnt and shattered but anyone who is reading this and wondering what on earth we do it for..... here is your answer....

You are 100% Correct it was a Fantastic weekend. I did not know this was Stuart. My Son and his Wife was with us and they spent quite some time at the Forge. They both thoght that it was totally fascinating and they throughly enjoyed the chat he had with Stuart. Congratulations to you all for helping to make this event such a Great Success.

Just in case you did see me I was the Old Big Fat Hairy Man on a Mobility Scooter. YAAA It was fun going about in that and it was also for free as Historic Scotland do not charge for these. Well done to them.

Overall all five of us had a really fantastic time. Can't wait for another of these events!!!!

And Squidge do you recognise anyone in this Photo. I noticed this one after you posted your pics and I think I am right.
